John Hunter, an escaped geologist convicted of armed robbery, was hiding out from the police in Rommbu's spaceship, and managed to trick Rommbu into landing the ship in an active volcano, seemingly killing them both when it erupted. Created by Jack Kirby in 1961 for TALES OF SUSPENSE #19, he pre-dates the Marvel Universe.
Description: Orrgo is a 30' tall extraterrestrial Space God who arrived on Earth to display his superior powers over the humans, using his abilities to quickly conquer mankind. With the human race under his mental domination, Orrgo went back to the circus where he first arrived and went to sleep. A circus gorilla named Jojo realized that Orrgo conquering the planet was the reason that he was not being fed, and escaped from his cage to murder Orrgo, freeing us from Orrgo's control. The rest of Orrgo's kind left humanity alone, thinking we defeated Orrgo, never knowing that it was really Jojo the Gorilla. Created by Jack Kirby in 1961 in STRANGE TALES #90, he pre-dates the Marvel Universe. Vintage halftone colors with distressing.
