Shelley's Auto Parts was an old school speed shop located in the Mission Hills area of San Fernando Valley. From the mid-sixties until the early '80s, they stocked a wealth of go fast goodies that any hot rodder or muscle car aficionado might need to make their ride go fast or just look like it.

Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest. A minimal design for the Alfred Hitchcock classic North by Northwest (1959), starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, with James Mason and Martin Landau.

Mulholland Drive (stylized as Mulholland Dr.) is a 2001 surrealist neo-noir mystery film written and directed by David Lynch and starring Naomi Watts, Laura Harring, Justin Theroux, Ann Miller, Mark Pellegrino, and Robert Forster. It tells the story of an aspiring actress named Betty Elms (Watts), newly arrived in Los Angeles, who meets and befriends an amnesiac woman (Harring) recovering from a car accident. The story follows several other vignettes and characters, including a Hollywood film director (Theroux).

Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest is a 1959 American thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, with James Mason and Martin Landau.The screenplay was by Ernest Lehman, who wanted to write "the Hitchcock picture to end all Hitchcock pictures". This is one of several Hitchcock films which feature a music score by Bernard Herrmann and an opening title sequence by graphic designer Saul Bass, and it is generally cited as the first to feature extended use of kinetic typography in its opening credits.

KMET was a Los Angeles FM station that broadcast at 94.7 MHz beginning in June 1968. As with many stations at the time, KMET featured an automated format with female voices and middle-of-the-road music, but eventually added live DJ's and a free form rock music format. Major changes came about in 1974 to create something new for the struggling station by way of a new rock format that retained some of the station's progressive freedom, but added much needed energy and consistency along with high production values. KMET's new format quickly rose to number one, earning them the nickname "The Mighty Met." The station continued to rock the valley through the '70s and most of the '80 before signing off on February 14, 1987.

With over 20 locations throughout the San Fernando Valley, Valley Aerobics was a popular fitness chain that focused on, not surprisingly, aerobic exercise. They claimed to help members "find their fierce" and based on the look of this thick thighed woman, she has found hers.
