They came across a wild boar. Finn and the hounds attempted to chase it. However, as the boar ran, water poured from its feet. The hounds ran ahead of Finn and evenally Conn was ahead of Cullin. Conn chased the boar for days until a lake appeared. The boar swam back to land but Conn was drowned. This happened again in the south to Cullin. There must be about 40 or 45 of those old stone bridges, that I love so much, around Pelion mountain. One of the oldest, is the one in the photo, very close to Tsagarada village, which was constructed in 1787

The Old Wye Bridge, also known as the 1816 Bridge crosses the River Wye to connect Monmouthshire (Sir Fynwy) in Wales with Gloucestershire, England. Constructed of cast iron on stone piers, it was designed and built by John Rastrick in 1816 to replace an earlier bridge which was gradually disintegrating. This handsome structure is now Grade 1 listed. This image was captured late afternoon in early October at low tide.

A view of the old bridge over the River Wye at Chepstow in Monmouthshire, Wales. It provides a link between Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire in England. This elegant iron bridge was constructed in 1816 and was designed by John Rastrick of Bridgenorth. It had to be tall and extremely strong as the tidal range here is one of the highest in the world, at times reaching 14 metres! Hence the massive pillars on which it is constructed.

Looking down from the upper edges of the valley under the old Ogwen bridge, I noticed a slight spiral shape, not dissimilar to a fibonacci curve, mirroring this, I noticed the curved flow of the water spouting a fountain... so I set up my tripod on the slippery rocks nearby and composed this image. Working in post, I raised the exposure in places, to tease out the texture and shapes of the forest and mountainous area beneath...

This shot shows Poole Bridge, which is situated at the western end of Poole Quay (Dorset, England) and links the main town of Poole with the suburb of Hamworthy, the site of Poole's ferry terminals. The bridge was constructed in 1927, replacing an older swing bridge on the same site and it is still in regular use, being lifted 7 times a day to allow maritime craft to pass from Poole Harbour into Holes Bay and vice versa. You can find this bridge (Kleidonia bridge) very close to the road that goes from Ioannina to Konitsa (Epirus region, Greece), about 17 km before you reach Konitsa. It is located at the exit of the magnificent Vikos Gorge, where the plains of Kleidonia start, at a "crossover" landscape and it was constructed in 1853.
