Peach Tapestries

A navy, indigo, blue and cream shibori-inspired, painted hibiscus floral with oversized flowers and fabric textures.

A nature-inspired, folk art style, bohemian pattern of leaves, ferns & flowers in a denim / canvas textured, grungy style. Teal blue, grey, off white.

The result of late night experimentation with my favorite colored pencil crayons - a floral / leaf / nature pattern with a touch of triangles and diamond shapes thrown in.

A soft and pretty floral with an old-fashioned feel.

I have always loved tulips. I wish I could do them justice. I worked on this pattern for ages, but in the end I just had to acknowledge that however much I like tulips, I'm not very good at working with them. What's done is done though, and here it is.

Back to wandering in my garden looking for inspiration. I have some fig trees...

Vivid, doodled mandalas in shades of cyan, aqua, turquoise, purple, navy, indigo and pink, with a soft, painted texture.

I think in doodles. Ink in my veins. : ) A second color version. This floral / nature pattern was hand drawn in pencil and then colored digitally in shades of blue. A design with lots of details and a Moroccan feel to the shapes and rhythm of the repeat.

My family gave me some yummy new watercolor paints for Christmas... I decided to mess around with the colours a little (as you do) and in fact, have ended up with five versions. I should probably just pick one (or two) but hey, I'm feeling reckless. Brace yourselves. ; )

More of what grows in my garden. Butterflies are symbolic of resurrection, hope, joy, and new beginnings, but often these things only come through dark times and hard experiences. Today was, for me, one of those days, but working on this pattern lifted my spirit. This is for my husband.

I have geraniums outside my front door, they cheer me up both coming and going. I know geraniums are ordinary and maybe even boring, but they never fail to make me smile.
