Project Blue Book Tapestries
Description: Project Blue Book was one of a series of systematic studies of unidentified flying objects conducted by the United States Air Force (USAF). It started in 1952, the third study of its kind, following projects Sign and Grudge and ended in 1969. J. Allen Hynek was an American astronomer and the Chief Scientific Advisor to the U.S. Air Force’s Project Blue Book, the government’s official investigation into unidentified flying objects (UFOs) from 1952 to 1969. Initially a skeptic, Hynek’s perspective shifted as he analyzed thousands of reports, leading him to advocate for ufology as a legitimate scientific discipline and develop the famous "Close Encounters" classification system.
