Scarlet robins and Quandong trees are native Australians. Gorgeous and colourful, they're the perfect Christmas icon, but I'm also more than happy to see them every day. Quandongs are a parasitic plant with distinctive lime-coloured leaves, and their bright red fruit can be made into jams or the internal nut eaten.

With it's scarlet breast and magnificent song, the Red Breasted Robin as a delightful little show bird.

Original is a hand painted watercolour of a male and female scarlet robin on a Grevillea plant. Native to the area where I live, these little creatures bring my a lot of joy flitting about my property.

It is a real treat when we see one of these in the garden.

Tuck is a common character in modern Robin Hood stories, which depict him as a jovial friar and one of Robin's Merry Men. The figure of Tuck was common in the May Games festivals of England and Scotland during the 15th through 17th centuries.
