Seattle Rainbow Tapestries
Description: If you grew up in the Pacific Northwest in the '70s and '80s, odds are that your mom took you to get a pair of shoes from Sportswest at least once. Whether it was a pair of cleats for football or a pair of high tops to skate in, Sportswest was known for their large selection of athletic footwear and discount pricing. Of course, they weren't just about shoes, and actually were a complete sporting goods store stocking everything from golf clubs and basketballs to fitness equipment and kayaks and everything in between. By the time the '90s rolled around, other discount sporting goods chains had moved into the market, and ultimately absorbed Sportswest and their 30+ retail locations.
