The eight meter class is over 100 years old and the 8 meter designation does not refer to the length (they are over 40Ft. - 12 meters long), but a complex formula of length, width, sail area, etc. The oldest boat in this years championship was Jackeen, built in 1928. and the newest was Natural. Gefion was the only glass boat the rest are all wood. I love these boats and you can't take a bad shoot of any of them.
