Description: Anselm Ephorinus was a Silesian scholar of the Renaissance period. He was the first to write that he was Silesian, not Polish. This was in 1531. He wrote the famous latin sentence to Erasmus of Rotterdam: "Tuus et suus, Anselmus Ephorinus, Silesius non Polonus" ("Yours and your own, Anselm Ephorinus, a Silesian, not a Pole").
