Description: The High Priestess is a card that is associated with intuition and the subconscious in its upright position. When reversed, it represents a lack of inner voice and repressed feelings. For this card, we decided to portray Medusa as the titular character. Here, Medusa sits upon a throne of her enemies who were turned to stone. These statues act as the “veil” that conceals what lies beyond. Her feminine beauty intertwined with her monstrous intensity represent her intuition, fertility, and divine femininity. Behind her throne on either side, we see two pillars. They are marked with the Greek letters “Π” “ά.” These are the first letters in the Greek spelling of Persephone and Hades.
