Description: 'May God Have Mercy On Your Soul' The Annabelle Design is inspired by the real life story of a doll named Annabelle that came to be in the hands of renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, and the franchise of movies that the story inspired. According to the Warrens, in 1968, two roommates claimed their Raggedy Ann doll was possessed by the spirit of a young girl named Annabelle Higgins. According to the Warrens the doll was "being manipulated by an inhuman presence", and put it on display at the family's "Occult Museum". The legend of the doll has inspired several films in the Conjuring Universe and is a recurring leitmotif in many others.
