Thor Tapestries
Description: Out with the old and in with the new! We were running a “Hammer of Thor” tee for a while, but I felt the need to totally revamp the design. I’m really happy with the end result. For those of you who don’t already know, Mjölnir is the name of the weapon used by the Norse god of thunder, Thor. The symbol at the center of this design is based on Mjölnir amulets worn around the necks of Vikings during the Middle Ages. It is meant to symbolize strength and protection. Take some time to look at the details in and around the hammer. Anyone interested in Viking history, or in Celtic art would appreciate it.
Description: This design is from a canvas piece that I did earlier this year (2015), but now I've digitalized them for you to enjoy! The inspiration for these 'sugar skulls' was merging two of my favorite cultures, Hispanic culture and comic book culture! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
Description: Thor, son of Odin, god of Thunder, protector of Midgard. Thor was a popular Norse god among the common farmers of Scandinavia and other Germanic speaking cultures as he was a protector of the people. Thor’s magical war hammer, Mjölnir, is the centerpiece of my artwork here. Mjölnir pendants were worn by many including the Vikings in the Middle Ages as a symbol of Thor’s protection and strength. Thor continues to be a popular figure in modern culture.
Description: A brief glimpse into Thor Ragnarok's epic bromance below, in case you missed it... Banner: You're just using me to get to the Hulk. That's gross. You don't care about me. You're not my friend. Thor: No, I don't even like the Hulk. He's all like, "SMASH, SMASH, SMASH!" I prefer you! Banner: Thanks. Thor: But, if I'm being honest...
