How many of you know that the Rubik’s cube is the world’s top selling puzzle game and also widely considered to be the world’s best-selling toy of all time? A Hungarian sculpture and professor in architecture, Erno Rubik, invented the Rubik cube in 1974. In the beginning is was called the Magic Cube but since then it got other names as well. Since January 2009 it is estimated that 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide and it still is a top seller today. This puzzle toy lead to many worldwide competitions and world records. I am sure most of you bought or played with a Rubik cube once. I created this three Rubik cubes in a triangle form, to try and give it another 3D dimension and an artistic appearance to it.

This design is inspired from three wise monkeys

The source that popularized this pictorial maxim is a 17th-century carving over a door of the Tōshō-gū shrine in Nikkō, Japan. The carvings at Tōshō-gū Shrine were carved by Hidari Jingoro, and believed to have incorporated Confucius’s Code of Conduct, using the monkey as a way to depict man’s life cycle. There are a total of eight panels, and the iconic three wise monkeys picture comes from panel 2. The philosophy, however, probably originally came to Japan with a Tendai-Buddhist legend, from China in the 8th century (Nara Period).

Only one creature was feared by all the Bunyip who lived in a deep hole. When Tyawan had to pass the hole, he would leave his daughters safely on the cliff behind a rocky wall.
