Description: One of my tributs to the now demoloished Iconic cooling towers next to the M1 Motorway In Tinsley, This was taken about 18 months ago whilst the debate about their retention was still raging. Olympus E500 I understand that they were constructed as part of the Blackburn Meadows Power Station between 1937 and 1942. They survived the Luftwaffe but not the vagaries of Power Gen as they were demolished in 2008.
