Four gallant officers of the Victoria Police rode into the Wombat Ranged in October 1878 - only one returned. The party, led by Sgt. Michael Kennedy, included constables Thomas McIntyre, Michael Scanlan and Thomas Lonigan. They were tasked with capturing Ned and Dan Kelly for attempted murder. On October 26, the police camp was ambushed by the Kelly brothers and their mates Joe Byrne and Steve Hart. Three police were murdered but McIntyre narrowly escaped.

This family of Swamp Hens had taken over a pond in the Tasmanian Devil's enclosure at Melbourne Zoo in Victoria, Australia. They had 2 chicks and this one got a feed, Amazing what you see at the Zoo!

Måneskin is an Italian rock band formed in Rome in 2016. The group's line-up comprises Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio. The Tree Kangaroos at Healesville Sanctuary, in Victoria, Australia, have a nice new enclosure - they celebrated by producing their first joey. Mum was so proud she brought it down to show me!

Some creatures are doing OK in spite of Climate Change. Eastern Spinebills are nectar eaters so the drought doesn't affect them - as long as the flowers survive!

The Flight Arena at Healesville Sanctuary in Victoria, Australia, puts on a wonderful show called "Spirits Of The Skies". This Black Kite is one of its stars.
