Frampton on Severn is a small village sitting on the edge of the Cotswolds and boasts the longest village green in England, which is surrounded by barns, cottages and Tudor buildings - here one of the many pretty ponds depicted as a watercolour from an original photograph of mine.

The village of Iffley-on-Thames at Oxford. At this point the river is properly called The Isis and as you walk along the Thames Path from here to Oxford you pass the Oxford University's college boathouses. The village itself is a conservation area, its narrow streets leading down to the river where you cross the weir to reach the lock. In the background, rising above the trees, is the Norman church of St Mary the Virgin, a Grade 1 listed building.

The Old New Inn is an 18th century Grade II listed property situated in the pretty village of Bourton on the Water. The village is often referred to as the "Venice of the Cotswolds" and is full of charming sandstone buildings.
