Description: It’s a gentle, raining Friday morning. The birds are noisily attacking the feeder in the yard, robins hunting in our newly planted perennial beds, looking for worms. One of the things I miss most about our home in New Hampshire is going for daily walks in the woods. Days like today remind me that we can all create tiny wildlife habitats, even in the smallest of outdoor spaces. It’s so vital for the environment that we do so, but also it soothes me to see the animals, bugs and frogs that can move in when you give them a space. Even the bunny, which made a grand total of three appearances last night at the edge of my vegetable beds, is a welcome sight of sorts. Anyway, happy Friday from my tiny wild patch of earth.
