Wood Background Tapestries

These are images of random doors and windows that I came across while walking the streets of Comayagua in Honduras. I get intrigued by the richness of the colors, by the lack of colors, by the shoddy paint jobs, by the fact that most of them don’t even look structurally sound (some don’t even have straight lines). And there lies the beauty of most of what I encountered in this country. And BTW, all of these structures are occupied either by a family or by a local business. All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software. Also part of a wider network of trails called the Avalon Super Loop, where the name alone drew me to this place and spoke to my inner child fascinated with myth, legends and fantasy.

Walking along the streets of Tegucigalpa, I came across this window on an old house in an old neighborhood. There seems to be an electric wire that is running through this window to the inside of the house. I tried tracing the wire outside the house, but it led me to the top of a tree about a 100 ft away. Sometimes I wonder... But I still liked the character on this window, enough to frame this image and click the shutter on my camera.
