Description: During its seven-season run from 1979 to 1985, The Dukes of Hazzard introduced viewers to nearly every back road, business, and government office in the fictional Hazzard County, Georgia. While landmarks like the Boar's Nest, the Hazzard County Courthouse, and the Sheriff's Department are instantly recognizable to fans, one of the series' most obscure municipal agencies is the Hazzard County Department of Sewers. Despite the county's rural setting, a sewer department apparently existed, even though it never played a role in the show's storylines. Its only appearances came in the background, with a department van and a couple of service trucks briefly showing up in scattered scenes over the years.
