Rokurokubi Long-Neck Woman Yokai Tapestry
Yokai Tapestry
designed and sold by kuraimochi
I've drawn the rokurokubi creature in a less traditional way. I've drawn her without traditional clothing and her hair down. Inspired by yurei like Sadako (from the Ring) and Kayako (from Ju-On: the Grudge). Her clothes are black too just because I like goth fashion and the color black. | In Japanese (kanji and hiragana) 轆轤首, ろくろ首, and in English (romaji, roman letters) Rokurokubi. You can translate it as "long-neck woman". A yokai (Japanese word for spirit or demon) from Japanese folklore, who can form aka has a very long neck. In the anime "Yokai Watch" you can also find a character inspired by the Rokurokubi. She is known as "Lady Longnek" in YokaiWatch.
