As night falls, criminals, a cowardly and superstitious lot, called them ... the Dynamic Duo or the Caped Crusaders. The name "Robin the Boy Wonder" and the medieval look of the original costume were inspired by the Errol Flynn movie The Adventures of Robin Hood. While Batman is teaching Robin how to be a hero in all situations. the Dark Knight views things much differently, he's willing to sidestep making childhood memories to focus on the tasks at hand - even if that means Robins have to grow up quickly.
