Mighty Prang in the Morning Light Tapestry

This is an image of the tallest of the five prangs (spires) at Wat Arun in Bangkok, Thailand. The prang is enormous, it dominates the Wat Arun complex, which consists of the five prangs, the temple, and several other buildings. I've been to Wat Arun twice, firstly in 2007 and again in 2019. In 2007, you could climb that staircase. It's very steep and gets much steeper as you climb farther. These days the staircase is closed-off, which is probably wise. The prang is covered in complex patterns that consist of colourful ceramic pieces embedded in the surface. When taking the photography, I was really struck by the symmetry, the underlying whiteness of the prang and the incredibly deep blue sky.
