From an original John Tenniel cartoon engraving Punch Almanac of 1891 Jan to June. Sir Henry Parkes premier of New South Wales had set up conventions in 1890 & 1891 promoting the federation of the 6 colonies into what he called the commonwealth of Australia. Known as the Father of Federation he died 5 years before seeing his dream realised Please note there may be some age related marks or faults from the originals which will show also on any prints ordered.
