Female Green Iguana Pillow

Female Green Iguana, Iguana iguana, which is a large lizard native to Central, South America, and the Caribbean. This one was photographed in Quepos, Costa Rica. The females are grey to brown, while the males are orange during the breeding season. The juveniles of both sexes are green. Green iguanas are diurnal, arboreal, and are often found near water. In the early morning they sun themselves to get warm before becoming active during the day. Canon 6D, zoom lens.
