Description: The 29th Infantry Division, also known as the "Blue and Gray Division", is an Infantry Division od the United States Military which has its bases in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Their Motto is "Twenty-Nine, let's go!."

Description: The First wave of the initial assault was to be made by two Regimental Combat Teams (RCT), the 16th from the 1st Infantry Division and the 116th attached from the 29th Infantry Division.

Description: The 116th Infantry Regiment is an infantry regiment in the Virginia Army National Guard. They fought in the Normandy landings, fighting on Omaha Beach, where it suffered heavy casualties. It served continuously with the 29th Infantry Division in its eastward advance until reaching the Elbe at the end of World War II in Europe.
