Description: I've been learning to do some sumi-e (Japanese black ink brush painting) birds, bamboo, etc. and these are a couple of birds that I rather liked. It is more difficult than I thought it would be as one has to load up the brush and smoothly move it around in different ways to achieve different effects and do a lot of the drawing without lifting the brush - you are not meant to go back over and it is all meant to be done in a smooth flowing fashion. I have a bit of a ways to go yet, but I am reasonably happy with many of my little birds like these two.
