Angelfish Pillows
Description: Black and white ink illustration of a juvenile emperor angelfish. Emperor angelfish (Pomacanthus imperator) are marine angelfish found in the tropical reefs of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. These fish are very popular for their colourful appearance with a dark blue body and vibrant patterns. Adults have blue and yellow horizontal stripes but the juveniles, as seen here have more swirling curved lines in blue and white. I created this drawing using a stippling technique in ink on Bristol board. Using stippling you build up texture using thousands of tiny dots.
