Basil Pillows
Description: A cultural cartography of São João — one of Portugal's most beloved festivities. Each piece encodes the same data: dates, traditions, symbols and stories of the celebration, redrawn freely so the result is always unique. Made to be read slowly, in a world that rarely stops. Hand-drawn in black ink, vectorised by hand. The original exists once. © Lopes da Fonseca
Description: Meet Basil the Bat, a strange little creature with big wings, a slightly spooky soul, and a soft spot for the unusual. This black-and-white design is perfect for anyone who loves gothic art, spooky-but-cute creatures, whimsical weirdness, and a touch of darkness. Give Basil a home on your favorite shirt, sticker, tote, or wherever else you think a peculiar little bat belongs. 🖤
Description: What is under the shirt? In this playful illusion design, a stitched opening reveals a delicious pizza hiding beneath the surface. Instead of skin or fabric, the repaired gap shows melted cheese, bright tomato slices and fresh basil, turning the idea of what lies underneath into something funny, warm and irresistibly tasty. The hand sewn border makes it look as if the shirt has been carefully mended, but the surprise underneath is pure comfort food. With its surreal food illusion and lighthearted humor, this artwork is perfect for pizza lovers, foodies and anyone searching for a creative design that feels unexpected, cheerful and a little absurd.
Description: A vibrant botanical illustration featuring heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and richly detailed sliced tomatoes in a lush garden-inspired arrangement. Perfect for tomato lovers, gardeners, home cooks, foodies, farmers market fans, and anyone who enjoys colorful produce art with a fresh rustic kitchen aesthetic.
Description: Basil Fawlty is an inept and slightly out-of-his-head English hotel manager, who is tortured by `that annoying section of the general public who insist on staying at hotels'. Fawlty is constantly berated by his wife, and his efforts are continually hampered by their Spanish waiter, Manuel.
Description: A basil branch illustrated in bold white ink brushstrokes against a dark background, forming a clean and balanced minimalist composition. The layered leaves and flowing botanical lines create a fresh herb-inspired appearance while keeping the artwork modern and understated. Graphic and refined, this botanical illustration is perfect for fans of minimalist plant art and contemporary monochrome design. A subtle piece suited for apparel and accessories.
