Our resident seagull has the sunglasses, the attitude and a chip hanging from his beak, so clearly nobody has had the heart to tell him he’s nowhere near the beach. Bayswater Beach Supplies is, of course, not a real business. The lack of an actual beach made the commercial viability somewhat questionable. Cool fact: gulls have specialised salt glands above their eyes that allow them to get rid of excess salt, which helps some species drink seawater. A skill that is considerably less useful in Bayswater.
