Ever hear of the Braxton County Monster? Maybe the Flatwoods Monster or Green Monster? If not you should have been around in 1952. It made headlines all over the US at a time when Cold War tensions were high and alien encounters were rare. This shirt features a rendering of the original 1952 police sketch of the monster based on, eye whiteness, Kathleen May's description. This shirt was designed by the lifelong central West Virginia native, Andrew Smith, who has lived in Braxton County for the majority of his life. 1952, Flatwoods, West Virginia. Children at a playground witness a bright object descend to the ground nearby. A group is gathered to investigate. What they encounter would change their lives forever. This is my interpretation of The Flatwoods Monster; A mechanical, hovering, cryptozoological creature from outer space!

This is a scan of an old Japanese Flatwoods Monster novelty sticker. After scanning I messed with it ALOT in Photoshop. The inscription translates to 3 Meter Alien, which is the typical name Braxxie goes by among Japanese Kajiu fans.
