Description: In ancient times, brother and sister - Mani and Sol ( Moon and Sun ) sometimes stopped their run in the sky, to see what happens down, on ground, and lingered for a long time in one place. Many were unhappy with this.. Therefore, Odin, the father of the gods, gave them two shadowers, two giant wolves. This was sons of Fenrir - Hati "He Who Hates", or "Enemy" and Skoll "Treachery". Day and night they hunt brother and sister, and when they get too close, eclipses occur..
Description: This design is based off a panel from the very famous Gundestrup Cauldron. The animals in this design are not clearly identified but possibly a wolf or dog, and a feline-like animal (I've chosen to call it a lion, but feel free to disagree!) I've recreated this in my own style making a unique take on this famous Celtic/La Tene piece of artwork!
