Champion Sound Pillows
Description: Sandy Belond was a Southern California hot rodder and one of the first dry lakes racers to go over 100 mph. He opened Sandy’s Muffler Shop in 1938 and aside from traditional exhaust work, Sandy began designing and building custom headers and exhaust systems that quickly became a popular on the local hot rod scene. After a short stint in the Marines towards the end of the war, Sandy was ready to get back to work and founded Southern California Muffler Service. Aside from continuing his custom work, Sandy developed his Equa-Flow line of off the rack exhaust systems. This line revolutionized the industry by utilizing the first ever jigs for exhaust systems that ensured each model was true and accurate to the vehicle it was designed for.
