Dairy Pillows
Description: Founded in 1897 by George Washington Vanderbilt II, Biltmore Dairy Farms started as an internal operation on his estate, with surplus milk being donated to local hospitals. As productivity increased, the company expanded into home delivery and wholesale supply to area hotels. Biltmore's Jersey cows, known for producing high-quality milk, comprised the original Biltmore Farms herd. Biltmore cattle were regularly awarded blue ribbons at the National Jersey Shows, and several even earned grand champion titles and world records, many of which still stand today.
Description: Lawson’s Dairy Stores began in 1939 when J.J. Lawson opened a retail counter at his Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio milk company to sell milk by the gallon. Since most milk came in quart bottles, his wider-mouthed jug with a wire handle let customers carry one bottle instead of four, saving money and driving sales. Lawson soon opened his first store, offering his dairy products along with a range of food and staples—an early version of today’s convenience store. Within a year, he had ten locations; by 1943, twice that. By 1959, the chain had grown to over 700 stores when Consolidated Foods bought it. The stores kept the Lawson’s name until a rebrand in the mid-1980s changed it to Dairy Mart.
Description: Blue milk, also known as Bantha milk, was a rich blue-colored milk produced by female banthas. Sentients drank it, and also used it in bantha butter, blue bantha buttermilk biscuits, blue-milk cheese, blue milk custard, ice cream, and yogurt. It was notably available on Outer Rim planets such as Batuu, Lah'mu, Lothal, and Tatooine. Cid's Parlor on Ord Mantell served a similar beverage that was alcoholic called Dark Blue Milk.
