Dixieland, in music, a style of jazz, often ascribed to jazz pioneers in New Orleans, but also descriptive of styles honed by slightly later Chicago-area musicians. The term also refers to the traditional jazz that underwent a popular revival during the 1940s and that continued to be played into the 21st century.

WHAT WE PLAY IS LIFE

Dixieland Jubilee Records was an American record label during the 1950s that released Dixieland jazz. The label's roster included Teddy Buckner, Kid Ory, and Wild Bill Davison. Dixieland Jubilee was owned by Frank Bull and Gene Norman and run by Norman, who owned GNP Crescendo.

If a tinker was my trade, I'd be a traveling repairman (or woman) of pots and pans. Bear in mind, this would be back in the day when pots and pans were made of quality cast iron, and not cheap aluminum from Wal Mart. The "dam" is a wad of putty with a layer of solder over the top to plug the holes.
