Dome Pillows
Description: The Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes (大阪近鉄バファローズ, Ōsaka Kintetsu Bafarōzu) were a Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) team based in Osaka, Japan, which was in the Pacific League. In 2005 the team was merged with the Orix BlueWave to become the team now known as the Orix Buffaloes. The team played in Fujiidera Stadium, and later in Osaka Dome. Although the team won four Pacific League championships, they lost all four Japan Series in which they played. The team's batting lineup was known as Itemae Dasen (いてまえ打線).
Description: Younger generations and even most transplants probably don't know that there used to be a single stadium where Seattle's CenturyLink Field and T-Mobile Park now sit and they most definitely don't recall the time the entire city crowded around to watch it implode. But it used to be there and it was an epic sight to behold. Yeah, it was arguably ugly, drafty, noisy and probably a bunch of other things too, but the Kingdome was Seattle's stadium. Its name came from the two labels that were floating around during its conception: "King Street Stadium" and the "domed stadium." It opened it's gates in 1976 and was built to last 1,000 years, but barely made it 20 before it began rapidly falling into disrepair being blown up on March 26, 2000.
Description: Tunnel View is what everyone sees as soon as they emerge from Highway 41 (going north) in Yosemite National Park. On the left is El Capitan, on the right is Bridalveil Fall, and in the center (background) is Half Dome. I painted this during one of my many visits to Yosemite. I can't get enough of it! It's my favorite place.
