In West Bengal it is the most important festival of the year. It is celebrated at the community level and also by individual family. In our family it's the most auspicious occasion where the whole house is cleaned completely and made ready for the festival. First day installation of goddess is done and do special prayer 2 times a day for next 9 days. Evening come all go out dance garb style and celebrate enjoy the festive mood. Love it.
