Finally, in 2005, it was bought by Harrah's Entertainment (later Caesars Entertainment), who closed and demolished it.

It was designed by architect Paul Williams[6] who was one of the first prominent African American architects in the United States and was also the architect who designed the first LAX theme building.It was located at 2955 Las Vegas Blvd South, on the Las Vegas Strip, in Winchester, Nevada, and was considered one of the best-preserved examples of 1950s Googie architecture. It is believed to be named after the Beach of La Concha in Spain.

The casino is located on what is commonly referred to as the four corners. These are the four main hotels that are located on the corner of Casino Center Boulevard and Fremont Street. The four casinos making up the four corners are The Fremont, the Four Queens, the Golden Nugget, and Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel.

Description: The Orbit Inn launched on Fremont and 7th Streets in 1963. It was the home of not one but two Space Age signs. The first featured a rocket and a globe encircled by orbit trails. Author Tom Wolfe cited it as an example of Las Vegas’s unrestrained “Late American Rich” style. The rocket portion of the sign was replaced by a more functional “Motel” element in the 1960s. Sadly, the motel is best remembered for a tragic explosion on the morning of January 7, 1967, when an Army deserter killed himself and five others by shooting a pistol into a stack of dynamite. The Orbit Inn closed in 1987. Today, the site is the location of the Downtown Container Park.

It was built just north of the Frontier hotel-casino, and they both shared the same ownership, although the Silver Slipper's gaming operations were later leased out. Three Coins Motel and Galaxy Motel became a part of the Bonanza Hotel in 1967. Bonanza Hotel and Casino opened on July 1, 1967. Galaxy Motel separated from Bonanza Casino and Hotel in 1973. Bonanza Hotel and Casino closed in 1973. The Bonanza casino and the Three Coins Motel wing are demolished in 1973. Galaxy Motel is demolished in 1987.
