Milwaukee fans inherited an array of heroes from handsome young slugger Eddie Mathews, who led the majors in home runs to high-kicking southpaw, Warren Spahn, on his way to the Hall of Fame. They had powerful Joe Adcock, feisty Johnny Logan, speedy Billy Bruton, Wisconsin farm boy Andy Pafko, and then next spring, they added legend-in-the-making, Henry Aaron.
