Description: Organized class-conscious workers are all that's needed to rid the earth of the parasitic capitalist class. This political cartoon was originally from the May 1938 edition of The One Big Union Monthly, a monthly publication by the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). I have completely digitized, redrawn, and refinished this work of art, as well as rewritten the text for the sake of legibility - for the sake of preserving and archiving this important piece of labor history. The IWW still exists today, and if this political cartoon still rings true to you, even nearly a century after it's original publishing, you should consider looking up your local IWW chapter. Description: This was originally an engraving titled "Portraits of the Haymarket Martyrs" by Walter Crane in memorial of those that fought for an eight hour work day on May 4, 1886 at Haymarket Square in Chicago. I have refinished and digitized this century-old design into modern fidelity for printing. This version is in color, but the original was just in black and white - which is also available in the store.
Description: Depeche Mode's 1986 album "Black Celebration" marked a significant shift in the band's musical direction. Departing from their earlier synth-pop sound, the album embraced a darker, more atmospheric style that incorporated elements of gothic rock and industrial music. The album's title track, "Black Celebration," set the tone with its brooding, melancholic melody and lyrics exploring themes of despair and disillusionment. Other standout tracks like "A Question of Lust," "Fly on the Windscreen," and "It Doesn't Matter Two" further showcased the band's newfound sonic experimentation and lyrical introspection.
Description: Kruger Industrial Smoothing is where George worked in Season 9 after losing his job at Yankee Stadium. Headed by Mr. Kruger, the company is known for botching up the Statue of Liberty (hence why it's still green). Their motto, according to George, is "We don't care, and it shows." The company is known to be very disorganized and unprofessional. Mr. Kruger even hired George just because they needed someone badly. This design features a nice vintage effect with lots of wear and tear, so if you want to look like you've been in the industrial smoothing game for years, this shirt is your ticket.
