20x30in acrylic on foam canvas "I slept in and missed class today, I would be upset but I had an incredibly cinematic dream. In the dream I'm in the water and 3 siren mermaids are trying to drag me to the depths when all of a sudden a pinkish and blue orb surrounds me and quickly drags me to the surface. Once on land there is a beautiful trail before me and I look up and a figure who is hard to make out but through dream logic I understand to be Natalie Portman, has just saved me. She has the same orb glowing around her to the one that saved me from the water and as I look past where she is floating there are these horrible skeletal crabs stacked on top of one another trying to get to me. It's clear to me that Natalie is protectin...

A slow loris taking a slow stroll through the surreal version of Denver. This painting was inspired by watching all these adorable videos of slow lorises being stroked and petted ever so gently as they hold tiny umbrellas. And the background is a variation of a picture of a parking lot in Denver Colorado that I took. This painting was also completed at a time when I was looking for a slightly new approach to backgrounds. So as you can tell I was experimenting a bit. #artJWB #SlowStrollLoris #JacobWayneBryner

I did it with the intention of the character being more like a gate keeper to another world and perhaps who speaks in more metaphorical means in order to lull Alice into the Rabbit hole (the purple behind him). "I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date" sort of thing. Plus I always thought other representations made such a great character kind of a square. I re approached this concept in my piece "What if I Told You?" #artJWB
