Kobayakawa Mon Pillows
Description: Kobayakawa mon based on a tomoe symbol from the japanese shogunate. The mon is an emblem to designate a family, clan or even an organization. Description: This design features the authentic Hidari-mitsudomoe (left-turning threefold tomoe), the historic family crest of the renowned Kobayakawa samurai clan. The artwork showcases a clean, minimalist aesthetic with a balanced circular composition, honoring the traditional Japanese "aesthetic of subtraction" that strips away excess to reveal pure form. Rendered in a high-contrast, elegant palette, this emblem captures the iconic whirlpool-like motif that was historically used to symbolize both samurai lineage and prayers for safe passage at sea.
