Description: One of the oldest professional clubs in Japan, the Osaka Tigers (阪神タイガース ) played their first season in 1936. Part of the Nippon Professional Baseball league, Tigers fans have the reputation as the most fanatical and dedicated in the world, often outnumbering home team fans at Tigers away games. In the club’s early years, when they used this logo, their fans were known for their rough behavior, instigating brawls with the other teams' fans, if not each other. Today they are known as the Hanshin Tigers, and the mascot is named Torakkii, a portmanteau of Tora (トラ), meaning tiger and Rakki i (ラッキ), combined to mean "Lucky Tiger."
