Pastel 75cm x 55cm approx. The beautiful Trawool Valley is situated between Seymour and Yea, in Central Victoria, Australia. It is a wonderful area that would inspire any artist. It has enormous rugged rocks scattered around, great gum trees and the Goulburn River flowing through.

Pastel on Canson 'Tex' paper (Sand) -60cm x 40cm approx. This silver coffee pot, oriental vase and old willow plate have been handed down through the family, and I thought they would make a good still life!

Pastel on Mi Teinte 'Tex' Paper (Burgundy) 75cm x 55cm I propped these items up on the cupboard which stands in front of my studio window and have spent the past week working on it. There is something very soothing about 'Still Life', and I thoroughly enjoyed creating this one. I thought the garlic would be hard to do, but the potatoes turned out to be the most difficult objects!!! (Thanks to MrsWillow, Lorenzo Castello and Mick Kupresanin for their invaluable advice after I sent them photos of the work in progress). Pastel on Canson 'Tex' Mi Teinte sanded surface paper - Burgundy 75cm x 55cm The area of High Camp is situated between Lancefield and Seymour, Victoria. It is a magnificent piece of Aussieland! This is the view looking towards Tallarook. It is rich grazing land, so I thought I would include a few sheep to add depth and perspective. Pastel on Canson Mi-Teinte Tex Paper - Burgundy - 75cm x 55cm A commission I started last June and finished yesterday - 21st October! I have occasionally had a few moments to throw a bit of pastel around, but this is the first work I've completed for quite awhile! It feels good to get back into the studio. When the ironbark trees come into blossom, the cockatoos have a fantastic time picking the flowers, and leaving a carpet of blossom underneath the trees. Featured in Everyday Women - 23/10/14

Pastel on Mi-Teinte 'Tex' paper (Sand) - 60cm x 40cm approx. Just wanted to try something with a limited palette. I used 8 pastels for this. The area is along the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia.

Pastel 55cm x 35cm approx. A commissioned work for a client seeking this specific eucalypt blossom. I found a treeing the local doctor's surgery garden, and with the assistance of a member of staff with a cutting implement, I was able to obtain some reference material! I think the complementary red/green combination worked well.
