Memento Mori Pillows
Description: Beautifully dark and gothic pen and ink hand-drawn illustration of 13th century Memento Mori poetry. Animals die, friends die, and thyself, too, shall die; but one thing that never dies are the tales of the one who died. This beautiful stoic philosophy poetry gives me hope, even though if we all are going to die, if we live our lives to the fullest our tales will live forever.
Description: Memento mori is a Latin phrase meaning 'remember you must die'The basic idea of this philosophy is that if people remember their inescapable deaths, they will lead more sober lives, live in the present, and take advantage of opportunities rather than postpone them 'til “tomorrow.” All of which are mostly good things. This original artwork is great for Latin phrases and Latin typography lovers! also, it could be a perfect gift idea for Christmas and birthdays. Description: Memento Mori: remember that you must die. Thinking about death doesn't have to be depressing, but embracing your mortality can help you live fully with humility. This outlook can be a catalyst to create something that will survive you, and move you to participate today in the places and things you planned for tomorrow when you were "ready".
