Mono Lake Pillows

Here’s a photo of Mono Lake, found in California, in Yosemite National Park, near Sierra Nevada mountain range. The salt formations found there give the place a beautiful design. The water reflects the almost clear, blue sky, with just a few clouds here and there. Further away, in the landscape, the mountains are visible.

Mono Lake is a saline soda lake in Mono County, California, formed at least 760,000 years ago as a terminal lake in an endorheic basin. Tufas at Mono Lake California

Tucked away in these mountains is the June Lake Loop which is the Road to Silver Lake. A majestic little lake protected by rocky peaks on both sides. This road will take you there.

A beautiful sunset over Mono Lake in Mono County California. Mono Lake is a saline lake with a natural pH of 10. It has no outlets therefore the accumulation of salts causes such a high pH. Walking along its shores brings feelings not of this world.
