New Quay, Ceredigion, February 2020 Another shot of the welsh seaside resort of New Quay, Cardiganshire (Ceredigion). Date: 20th February 2020.

New Quay, Cardiganshire, February 2020 Not to be confused with the Cornish resort of Newquay, the seaside town of New Quay (or Cei Newydd) overlooks Cardigan Bay and lies on the Ceredigion Coast Path in West Wales. New Quay's natural harbour provides shelter for fishing boats and other small craft, though in stormy weather, the vessels are more likely to be hauled out of the water to avoid being damaged by wind and waves. No I haven't spelt the name wrong. This is New Quay in West Wales not Cornwall but it is an area that is equally good for scenery and water-sports. This is the latest in a series of watercolours depicting the most beautiful parts of the UK coast. There may be others that are more beautiful but I haven't visited them yet!

There were quite a few variations in colour with the bubble theme which I liked but I have decided (so far) to upload just two. This is the second. The Museum of Comtemporary Arts at Circular Quay lit up as part of the Vivid Sydney Music & Light Festival, 2012. The Opera House was less spectacular than in past years but the MCA had a brilliant dynamic display of colours, patterns & graphics & shared the bill with Customs House as the highlight for me of this years festival. If only I had found out about the Amon Tobin music spectacular in the Concert Hall before it had sold out !!! Sometimes ghostly figures can be distracting in photos, but I thought they really worked here. To me it shows a day in the life of the Opera House. Some people were sitting down after having walked a long way, taking advantage of the fact that these seats offered a very good view. Others were posing, recording the moment in time when they got to stand in front of one of the icons of Australia. Some were taking a stroll after a dinner date at one of the many restaurants lining the Quay. In short, it is a place that is always full of life, no matter what time of day or night you happen to stop by.
