Okapi is an unique animal. It is also known as a forest giraffe, Congolese giraffe, or zebra giraffe. Handpainted, soft pastel on a special paper.

The prehensile tongue of the Okapi is used to strip leaves from branches, to wash their eyelids, and even clean out their ears! Their tongue is 12-14 inches long and black or dark blue in color.

The okapi, also known as the forest giraffe, Congolese giraffe, or zebra giraffe, is an artiodactyl mammal that is endemic to the northeast Democratic Republic of the Congo in central Africa. Although the okapi has striped markings reminiscent of zebras, it is most closely related to the giraffe. The okapi and the giraffe are the only living members of the family Giraffidae.

Okapi look like zebras, but are said to be related to giraffes. So another name is Forest Giraffe and Zebra Giraffe Instead of a giraffe's long neck, they have a very long tongue.
