Paintbrush Lily Pillows

Description: The striking paintbrush lily (Scadoxus puniceus) in early stages of flowering.There are nine species of Scadoxus, of which three, including S.puniceus, occur in South Africa. These eye-catching bulbous plants grow naturally in shady areas, ravines, and forests across much of the country.

Description: An assortment of wildflowers found in Banff National Park, Canada. Some of my favourite flowers are pictured: lilies, asters, roses, paintbrushes, arnicas and columbines. Wildflowers bloom briefly and are an absolute treat to discover on a hike.
