KC Three-Peat

This is an old illustration about the relation between palm tree planted on peat land to climate change. Peat land, while not really suitable for farming, can still be used to store a lot of water. Unfortunately, corporation’s greediness to widen palm tree plantations force peat land to lost its functions. By releasing stored water, the land also releases much more CO2 into the atmosfer, making global warming runs faster than before. This design is suitable for generations that care about global warming and climate change, also ones who are interested in this unique type of land found in Indonesia and several tropical countries.

A2 Oil on Canvas This painting may be the longest I've worked on any piece. Due to time restraints, other projects and using oil paints this canvas was started in February 2019 and has taken me nearly 3 years to finally complete. At the time, my plan was to produce a series of these still life paintings pairing up alcohol bottles with their appropriate glassware and themes, but so far I've only managed to paint the two, although I must say I'm happy with the two whisky paintings I've done.

The Squigglies get busy in the Spring garden, digging and scraping the soil, planting pea seedlings for an early harvest, starting new seeds in trays, and watering a pot filled with pretty flowers. WIth so many 'egrets' within the Nation of Brunei Darussalam, you'd have thought that this bird would bore the pants off most photographer's... yet most often, egrets seem to 'hold the allure' of most as they are just so marvellous to make images of. I've been searching to find a flight pattern that I was happy with and found what I was looking for within the inner reaches of the Brunei countryside, atop of the Labi hillside range ~ at a lake called "Luagan Lalak" Been spending quite some time there over the past few months. A place where surprisingly, I find inner peace. This piece is called "Air Land Transport" as frequently I wonder *where will we be ~ if they keep taking the birds ~ that are so vital for our survival (?)* ...

This tree is clinging on to the banks of the Riedsee lake near Bad Wurzach. It is in the middle of a large peat bog which has now been renaturised - there is a museum nearby telling of how they used to cut peat in large quantities. The small railway they used to transport the peat is now used for ferrying tourists round the peat bog. The lake appears to be the hole they left behind... Nowadays people come here for wellness holidays, peat baths being considered healthy, hence the 'Bad' in Bad Wurzach. My first oil painting in a series of drink themed pieces. I am ethusiastic about the characteristics of drinks. They each have unique styles and presentation, they tell you about the person who drinks them and they make wonderful still life composition
