Providence Steamroller Pillows
Description: The Providence Steamroller (or Steamrollers) was an NFL team from 1924 to 1931. They were the last currently defunct team to win an NFL championship in 1928. They had a very logo that's a thin drawing of a dog or dog/man that defies understanding. Assuming the team had continued to play they would have likely gone with a logo closer related to their name at some point. The red stripe is there as a tribute to the tongue sticking out on the original logo.
Description: Providence had a very odd logo that I've never truly been able to track the origin of. A weird dog / dog man that is unrelated to steam rollers or the town of providence, it's so odd that it defies reinvention. This drawing was in a program between Providence and Pottsville, back when both fielded NFL teams. The color fill was not a part of the original cartoon but both orange and gray were team colors.
